This area of the preschool classroom is especially interesting for children. Casa dei Bambini Montessori's Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students are introduced to land and water forms, as well as the continents and their individual characteristics.
The botany cabinet holds many traceable shapes of various leaves found around the school. This area also contains different types of animal pictures, habitat education, and culture studies.
Children use puzzles to develop fine motor skills.
These special puzzles allow children to distinguish the intricacies of the various plant or animal being studied.
Children learn individual parts and correct botanical and zoological names.
This lays a foundation for later elementary work while having fun doing the puzzle.

A favorite amongst children artist matching cards inspire creativity and ignite conversation.
Children love to explore the different types of art found in the cards. It is also very satisfying to them to sort and match the cards.
A basic thought in Montessori Education is to expose the child to high quality art work early on so they gain an appreciation and hunger to know about it as they grow.
