Casa dei Bambini Montessori provides an exceptional learning environment, a dual-immersion infant and toddler experience, and is one of the only outdoor classrooms in Santa Maria, California. Perfect for children ages 6 weeks through 30 months old.
The Montessori method is a unique child-centered approach to education. The method is based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s observation of children in early 1900’s Italy. She was a large proponent of child-sized furniture, outdoor play, and large uninterrupted work periods. She felt the children’s environment was as important, if not more so, than the teacher’s lesson plans. Montessori’s focus was on following the children’s interests.
Do you feel your child needs more freedom within a structured environment? Do you want to raise an independent child? Does your child have an individualized curriculum plan? Does your child have the opportunity to play outside and discover nature? Montessori may be the right fit for your family if you desire these things for your child.
Our dual immersion program is a 50/50 model, in which english is spoken and taught 50% of the time and spanish is spoken and taught the other 50%. Children learn each subject in both english and spanish.
Besides the obvious benefits of being bi-lingual in today’s world, there are many other advantages:
In today’s electronic age, children spend more time indoors than ever before watching TV and playing with electronic gadgets. At Casa dei Bambini, we believe in our children’s need to be connected with nature, which is why we are specifically designing an “outdoor classroom” set on 2.5 acres.
Each age group we serve can take advantage of outdoor activities. From mud tables and water play to log jumping and gardening, children have a range of activities from which to choose.
Outdoor classroom benefits include:
“My kids absolutely love this school! They have grown and learned so much from the teachers! The outdoor area is such a neat place for the kids to be free and explore nature! Thank you all for everything you do for my kids!!”

“I wish I could give a higher rating than just 5 stars. The staff is amazing! My daughter is greeted every morning with love and attention from the teachers, and her vocabulary and communication skills have sky rocketed since coming to this school. She gets her fill of outdoor activity, exposure to spanish, and is encouraged to explore the world at her own pace and in her own style. It’s awesome to be able to hear about her day from her teachers and to see her in action by seeing the fb postings. Way to go, casa dei bambini! Malto bene!”

“My son loves Casa! He has learned so much and loves being outdoors, so it is perfect for him! The teachers find learning activities that he enjoys. They get to play in the water outside and in the mud! Like real kids. My son loves the outdoor classroom. The monthly potluck is great to stay in touch with teachers and see friends ❤️ thank you everyone at casa for taking such good care of my baby! It means the world.”

“I cannot say enough praises about this school. The staff is amazing, my daughter is always talking about how much she misses school when she is not there! Elizabeth so personable in her love and passion for what she does- it’s so obvious and makes a very nurturing environment. I’m obsessed with the teachers, they are all invested so much in the children, and my daughter talks constantly about how much she loves her teachers. I interviewed many schools in the area before we chose casa dei bambini- I immediately fell in love! It quickly became obvious that we made the right choice when my daughter started to develop and grow so much after just a few weeks of attending. I’m so blessed having my daughter attend such a great school!”
